DIVERSITY, INCLUSION & MULTICULTURALISM

Descended from families who, somewhere down the line, started elsewhere--in Europe and Asia--Stewart Ikeda has maintained a lasting interest in and commitment to promoting the benefits of diversity--with equal opportunity and fair treatment--in our multicultural society.

He played a lead role in building the successful diversity recruitment e-business and multicultural community network at IMDiversity.com (1999-2011), twice named "Best Equal Opportunity Site" by Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine, and served as editor of the nationally circulated magazines, The Black Collegian and Diversity Employers, and the pioneering Asian-American Village Online.

A former professor of ethnic studies, Ikeda has published widely on topics related to ethnicity, diversity, and society in magazines, journals and such anthologies as At Issue: Assimilation (Greenhaven Press), Mixed (WW Norton), and Interracial Relationships (Greenhaven Press).

He has also written and delivered presentations on: civil liberties, the digital divide and race in digital space, workplace diversity and diversity recruitment, multicultural marketing, ethnic studies education, multiracial experience, cultural sensitivity, minority voting and census participation, and related issues.
